Pristava is located close to the settlement of Javorniški Rovt, in the arms of the Karavanke, with extensive forests and Alpine meadows Stamare, Pusti rovt, Svečica, Seče, Mavre, Belska and Markeljeva planina with shephers’ huts. There was enough drinking water for animals, which is due to the rock composition. In the upper layers rocks are more permeable so the water disappears into the ground. Reaching the layers which are not permeable, it searches for the way out and appears in the form of beautiful streams and springs. There are outsources of the Javornik and the Jezernica streams close to Pristava.
